Re-envisioning a small attic apartment for functional living.
This attic apartment was carved out of a 1916 Wallingford craftsman in the 1980s. Its already small footprint was crowded with compartmentalized spaces and limited by low ceilings. Within the constraints of the existing roof geometry, this remodel carefully reorganized the interior layout to maximize the usable space and create a feeling of openness, while custom built-in casework throughout provided clever solutions to functional living in a tiny space. Fresh finishes throughout are complimented by playful pops of color, breathing new life into this once stuffy apartment.
