What You’ll Do
- Lead projects through all phases of design and construction, from programming and concept design through construction administration.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and oversee project communication among clients, consultants, contractors, and agency reviewers.
- Lead project meetings, presentations, and decision-making processes.
- Direct and mentor project team members while maintaining quality control throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to design direction, technical development, specifications, and construction administration.
- Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, interviews, and cultivation of client relationships.
- Champion sustainable, equitable, and community-centered design solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of professional experience.
- Professional degree in Architecture.
- Architectural licensure is encouraged, but not required.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction.
- Experience developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and consultant coordination.
- Strong understanding of building systems, detailing, permitting, codes, and construction administration.
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members.
- Interest in sustainable, community-focused, and technically rigorous design.
Compensation and Benefits
SHKS offers compensation comparable to our peer architecture firms and have our JUST Label 2.0 certification from the International Living Future Institute. We are looking to fill (1) position for a Project Manager/Project Architect ranging between the Architectural Staff 2 level (licensed/unlicensed with over 6 years of experience) up to Project Manager (licensed/unlicensed with 8 or more years of experience) in our Seattle office.
- Pay range starting of $40.00 – $54.00 per hour depending on experience. Time and a half over 40 hours per week.

- Simple IRA retirement plan. Employer matching 3%, fully vested immediately
